Kanchenjunga, standing tall at 8586 meters, is the third highest mountain globally and has been a dream destination for many. It’s nestled in the northeastern part of Nepal, known as the Five Great Treasures of Snow. The Kanchenjunga circuit trek is a 25-day adventure that takes you to this mighty mountain through lesser-traveled paths, showcasing cultural and natural diversity with fewer tourists.

Our journey begins by exploring the myths and wonders of the Kathmandu valley. Then, we fly to Bhadrapur and take a long drive to Taplejung. From there, we trek through lush forests to Lalikharka, Phumphe Danda, Khesewa, and Mamankhe. Continuing along the banks of the Kabeli Khola, we reach Yamphudin, crossing suspension bridges along the way to Tortong. Trekking through the Lalung valley and Simbuwa Khola, we reach Cheram, where we spend two days exploring the area and visiting the Yalung glacier from Ramche.

After a visit to Oktang monastery, we head to Yalung Base Camp and then to Sele La (4480m). The trail to Ghunsa is through dense forests, and from there, we trek to Kambachen, navigating through boulders and rocks until we reach Kanchenjunga Base Camp, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges. We then retrace our steps back to Lhonak before heading to Ghunsa. Crossing Sumbung Khola, we reach Amjilosa and later Chirwa. Finally, we return to Bhadrapur for a flight back to Kathmandu, concluding our trip.

Tsum Valey Trek

Tsum Valley is a hidden Buddhist kingdom nestled in the remote corner of the Nepalese Himalayas. It was opened to tourists in 2008, so much of its natural beauty remains untouched. The Tsum Valley Trek is an exciting adventure that takes you through the stunning landscapes of Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Boudha Himal ranges. Moreover, you’ll get to experience the rich culture of the valley, which has preserved its ancient traditions.

The 20-day trek starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. After a scenic tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, you’ll head to Arughat Bazaar in the Gorkha district. From there, the trek takes you north towards Lower and Upper Tsum. Along the way, you’ll pass through traditional villages like Soti Khola, Machha Khola, Jagat, Chisopani, Chumling, Chhokang Paro, and the Nile before reaching Mu Gompa. Mu Gompa is home to the largest monastery in the area and is close to the Tibetan border in the north. Tsum Valley has a deep Buddhist heritage, with legends of the Buddhist saint Milarepa meditating in the mountain caves. The valley also houses the Kyimu Lung pilgrimage circuit.

After exploring Mu Gompa and its surroundings, you’ll descend through Burgi, Chumling, Philim, Khorlabesi, and Soti Khola back to Arughat. The trek reaches its highest point at Milarepa Cave (3700m), offering breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Boudha Himal ranges. The people of the valley, known as ‘Tsumbas’, are known for their rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the region boasts ancient Buddhist monasteries like Rachen Gompa, Mu Gompa, and Dephu Doma Gompa.

Nar Phu Valley Trek

The Nar Phu Valley trek is an adventure that explores the hidden gems nestled between the Annapurna and Manaslu regions of Nepal. This trek takes you to the remote villages of Nar and Phu, inhabited by Tibetan refugees known as Khampas. You’ll have a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in their medieval Tibetan culture and visit ancient monasteries.

During the trek, you’ll encounter breathtaking landscapes, including snow-capped mountains, deep gorges, and narrow canyons. You’ll also have the chance to spot yaks and blue sheep roaming freely. The journey begins with an 8-9 hour bus ride from Kathmandu to Jagat, followed by a trek along the Annapurna circuit trail to Meta. From there, you’ll cross a bridge over the Marshyangdi River and enter the Nar Phu Valley. Along the way, you’ll pass through alpine villages and explore the scenic Nar Valley before crossing the Kang La Pass.

Afterward, you’ll rejoin the Annapurna Circuit trail and trek to Manang, Yak Kharka, and Thorong Phedi. From Thorong Phedi, you’ll cross the Thorong La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world, and reach Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site.

The journey continues to Jomsom and Tatopani, where you can relax in natural hot springs. Finally, you’ll return to Pokhara and then Kathmandu, where the trek concludes.

It’s recommended to arrive in Kathmandu at least two days before the trek for last-minute preparations and to acquire the necessary special permit. Transportation options include a local bus ride or a private jeep for added comfort.

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Tengboche Monastery Trek

The Tengboche Monastery Trek is an amazing adventure in the Himalayas, especially for those who want to see Mount Everest up close. Along with other tall peaks and experiencing Sherpa culture, this trek is a perfect blend of nature and culture.

The 11-day trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a stop at Phakding. Then, we trek to Namche Bazaar through beautiful Khumbu villages. Namche Bazaar is a big town with stunning views of towering peaks. The trek not only takes you to the Himalayas but also lets you experience Sherpa culture in the villages.

We’ll visit Tengboche Monastery, the highest monastery in the Khumbu region, which offers breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Thamserku, and Nuptse. After exploring Tengboche Village, we’ll head back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

The best times for this trek are March to May (Spring) and September to November (Autumn).

Gokyo Lake Trek

The Gokyo Lake Trek in the Khumbu region is an extraordinary adventure, though it can be quite challenging. It takes you to some of the highest points in the area and offers a chance to visit the Gokyo lakes, which are among the highest freshwater lakes in the world. The trek also includes climbing Gokyo Ri (5360m), where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Along the way, you’ll experience the unique culture of the Sherpa villages.

The journey begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From there, we trek to Phakding, enjoying views of Mount Kusum Khangkaru (6367m) and Thamserku (6608m) along the way. Next, we head to Namche, a Sherpa town where you can see Mount Everest (8848m) from Hotel Everest View. The trail then takes us through Himalayan settlements at Dhole and Machhermo before reaching the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest in Nepal.

Continuing on, we reach Gokyo village, where we’ll enjoy views of six glacial lakes. The next day, we hike up Gokyo Ri (5360m) for even more breathtaking views of the highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Finally, we retrace our steps back to Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.

This trek is challenging, as you’ll reach an altitude of 5,360 meters. It’s best done in the Spring (March to May) or Autumn (September to November) seasons.
