Island Peak Climbing

Climbing Island Peak is an amazing adventure in the eastern Himalayas of Nepal. It’s one of the best experiences you can have in the Himalayan region. Along the way, you’ll see stunning mountains and visit Sherpa villages rich in culture.

The 20-day Island Peak Climbing trip starts when you arrive in Kathmandu City. You’ll spend a day touring UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. The next day, you’ll take a short flight to Lukla, a small Himalayan village.

The trek begins in Lukla and takes you through beautiful Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep. You’ll also visit Everest Base Camp and hike to Kalapatthar for breathtaking views.

Then, you’ll head to Chhukung village and make your way to the Island Peak Base Camp. The climb itself takes about 12 hours. At the summit, you’ll see stunning views of the valley and towering peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Makalu.

Afterward, you’ll descend to Dingboche and then trek back to Lukla via Namche Bazaar. The trip ends with your return flight to Kathmandu. Island Peak can be climbed in the spring or autumn seasons for the best weather and accessibility.
