Mardi Himal Trek

The Mardi Himal trek takes you to the base of the famous Mt. Machhapuchhre, also known as Fishtail. It’s a quieter route in the Annapurna region with fewer guesthouses and trekkers. In just over a week, you’ll trek through lush forests of bamboo and rhododendron to reach the stunning Mardi Himal Base Camp. Along the way, you’ll see breathtaking views of the Annapurna mountains and the local villages.

Your 11-day adventure begins in Kathmandu, where you’ll spend some time exploring the city’s historical sites recognized by UNESCO. Then, you’ll head west to Pokhara, a popular tourist destination. From there, a short drive takes you to Kande village, where your trek begins. You’ll pass through villages like Australian Base Camp, Deurali, Low Camp, and High Camp before reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4500m. You can even trek a bit further to the Upper View Point for a closer look at the stunning mountains.

After enjoying the views, you’ll descend back through the forests and villages to Lumre. From Lumre, you’ll retrace your steps back to Pokhara, passing through villages like High Camp and Siding. Finally, you’ll return to Kathmandu to conclude your journey.

The Mardi Himal trek can be done at any time of the year, but the best seasons are spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November). Danphe Adventure Treks specializes in organizing trips like this, ensuring your safety and creating memorable experiences as you explore the Annapurna region.
