This trek takes you on a unique journey away from the usual Annapurna Trek Trail, offering diverse culture, biodiversity, and the chance to experience the lifestyle of mountain communities.

Your 16-day journey begins in Kathmandu with a full day of cultural sightseeing at UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then, you’ll travel west to Pokhara, a popular tourist city, and further northwest to Nayapul to start the trek. Along the way, you’ll pass through Gurung villages like Ghandruk and Tadapani before venturing off the beaten path to Dobato.

Trekking through lush rhododendron forests, you’ll head north to Khopra Danda or Khopra Ridge, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri Himal, and Khopra Lake. This peaceful environment offers a relaxing retreat.

After enjoying the scenery, you’ll retrace your steps and descend to charming Magar and Gurung villages like Ghorepani. The trek continues to Mohare Danda, Nangi, and Banskharka before concluding at Galeshwar. The Khopra Danda trail is relatively new, so you’ll encounter fewer tourists, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings.

Throughout the journey, you’ll be treated to serene views of the Annapurna massif, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, and Hiunchuli. Finally, you’ll return to Pokhara from Galeshwar and conclude your trip in Kathmandu. The best times to embark on the Khopra Danda trek are spring and autumn.
