Your 20-day journey begins in Kathmandu, where you’ll have a short stay to explore the historic and cultural sites of the city. Then, you’ll drive to Bhulbhule via Besisahar to start your trek. The trail follows the Marsayangdi River, taking you through dense forests and rugged gorges. As you climb higher, you’ll encounter villages inhabited by Gurung and Magar ethnic groups, and spot wildlife like Danphe birds, Langur monkeys, and jackals in the rhododendron and bamboo forests.
Passing through charming villages like Chame, Pisang, and Manang, you’ll experience the unique culture and traditions of the local communities, including visits to ancient monasteries. The highlight of the trek is reaching the mighty Thorang La Pass, one of the highest in the world at 5,416 meters.
After crossing the pass, you’ll descend to Muktinath, a sacred site for Hindus and Buddhists. Then, you’ll journey through the Kali Gandaki valley, home to the deepest gorge in the world. Before concluding your trek at Nayapul, you’ll hike up to Poon Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise and enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains.
