Langtang Valley Trek

Langtang is a popular trekking destination surrounded by beautiful Himalayan peaks, forests, and lakes. The Langtang Valley Trek offers a mix of adventure, culture, and nature in Nepal. It’s located within Langtang National Park, the country’s first Himalayan national park, showcasing Tibetan-Buddhist culture and stunning Langtang Himalayas.

Starting from Kathmandu, the 11-day journey begins with a cultural exploration of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then, a short drive takes you to Sybrubensi, the starting point of the trek. Along the way, you’ll pass through lush forests and ethnic villages like Lama Hotel, Mundu, and Ghodatabela, inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa people. After reaching Langtang village, you’ll trek deeper into the mountains to Kyanjin Gompa.

At Kyanjin Gompa, you can visit a Buddhist monastery and a local cheese factory while experiencing the local lifestyle. A hike to Tserko Ri offers panoramic views of peaks like Langtang Lirung and Yala Peak. Returning, you’ll descend through Langtang village and Lama Hotel back to Sybrubensi.

Langtang Valley Trek is suitable for all types of trekkers, and the best times to visit are spring and autumn.
