Starting from Kathmandu, the trek begins with a cultural tour of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then, you’ll travel to Jomsom via Pokhara to start your trek. Moving north along the Kali Gandaki valley, you’ll pass through charming Buddhist villages like Kagbeni, Chele, Syanbochen, and Tsarang before reaching Lo Manthang, known as the ‘walled city.’ Lo Manthang was once the capital of Mustang and still reflects strong Tibetan influence in its lifestyle and culture.
After exploring Lo Manthang, the trek continues north to Niphu, Garphu, and Ghar Gumba (Buddhist Monastery). Then, you’ll trek back to Jomsom via Dhakmar, Ghiling, Samar, and Kagbeni. The trip concludes with a trans-Himalayan flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, before returning to Kathmandu. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Annapurna I and Mt. Dhaulagiri.
The best time to embark on this trek is from March to late December, with June to September being particularly favorable.
